Got some great news today from my former flat mate in Helsinki, Joe Doss. The former Memphis Tigers RB has signed with the Wolverines for the 2011 season. This is great news for a few reasons. Obviously JD is a great player and someone you definitely want playing on your team. But more importantly, the fact that he has signed indicates that the doctors are happy for him to be playing football again following the knee surgery he underwent at the end of last season. Naturally I’m extremely happy that he’ll be back with us in the ‘sink this year.
In other news….
Extremely proud of the Carnegie boys after Saturday night. They notched up their first ever win over the cross-town rivals from Leeds University. The game was a tight one, littered with an abundance of shocking penalties, but Carnegie held on for a 7-6 final score. Congratulations on the win, Sabres on Saturday. Naturally, given that I’m an old Sheffield Hallam boy, I’d love to stick it to them.
Scally complained yesterday that this blog had become boring and serious. I promised him that I would rectify that so, thanks for the feedback… This is for you.
